what do you think of Rowan Atkinson’s skit? how did he use language to make you laugh? what does this say about how really knowing the language gives people power?

what i think about Rowan Atkinson skit about playing as a british bording school teacher was kind of interesting because he’s using such a big vocabulary and trying to be funny at the same time. proving that immuturity at the right time is funny. he was using sexual gessures for childrens name at a british bording school pretending to take role. he didnt make me laugh that much because it didnt really grab my attention that much, some parts were funny only some i thought. he was a very good vocabulary and knows how to use it really good as a smart comedian. i probably would have laughed if it was something else that was more to my attention or something. Rowan Atkinson’s expressions of words are unique in his ways and makes money for doing that, if you know how to use your word at the right place in the right times thats what people like to see and shows that he’s been highly eduacated person and done pretty good in school, and shows that he thinks before he says things. has a good sense of humor. some people probably like to heard good old fashion jokes

what he said about teachers making a difference is true because some teachers leave impacts on students life. most of the students hate some of their teachers but theres one teacher’s class they like going to because they either the subject or the teacher maybe even both. teachers that i remember when i was younger was my 3rd grade teacher because he taught me how to play chess and motivated me to do my assignments. my 8th grade teacher for english she was one of my favorite teachers because he was strict to me, had me on line to do my work and helped me when i needed it, motivated to keep it up and he were both african-americans in a white school, their weren’t that many african-american their. my freshman year my algerbra teacher we were like the same he helped me about when my grade was slipping in his class. my sophmore year i had a really good teacher for my biology class, funny,nice, and other stuff

May 20th, 2009, had first period bio, i was tired as heck but finished the classwork and homework in the same period, and had a presentation in front of the class about the muscular system, we got a C on the project, i think we should of got better though. second period my mom made the seniors pancakes, sasuages,and strawberrys but only one senior came so she made breakfast for the whole class, we had no work that period too. third period P.E., she made us run a couple laps boy i was to full to run but i ran though. came in sat down and i felt like i was going to explode. fourth period came up i sat their and listened, did my assignments. lunch came i was still to full to eat.time tryed gathering my track team member to get ready and leave for the track meet at KEZAR. couldnt get to 5th period sorry mr.morgan dont think that im cuttin your class track meets. the first race i was the 4×1, when they have the little stick and advance it around the track without DQ’s, i was the second period and the first person that tryed giving the stick to me fell on his face trying to give me the stick, so we got DQ. the last race of the day i ran was the 4×4, when everyone rans one lap with the stick and gives it to the next person. i was the person to start it off, my time was 49.5 without trying. but at the end we took 2nd place and lowell took 1st place. that was my day, May 20,2009

May 14, 2009 , had first period bio, i was tired as heck but finished the classwork and homework in the same period yes!! second period i had geometry, just sat their and finished classwork and some other stuff. third period had that P.E. class, got dressed, ran some laps outside like my P.E. teacher told me too. played some basketball and talked to my teacher for no reason ahaha. fourth period modern world, sat their anwsered some questions and did my assignments and some extra credit work too.Lunch time tryed gathering my track team member to get ready and leave for the track meet at KEZAR. Got there it was a little hot but oh well. got suited up did my warm ups. the first race i ran was the mile, i came in 5th place. my last race on the day was the 200meters thats half the track, i ran in 22.0 seconds without trying and now thats the new burton record yayy!! had to show them who really really owned kezar track. after that went home and went to sleep. that was my day on May 14, 2009

May 7, 2009, went to first period bio, i was tired as heck but finished the classwork though. second period i had geometry, just sat their and finished my classwork i need to do. third period had that P.E. class, got dressed, played around dunked in the little basketball game we had goin on. fourth period modern world, sat their anwsered some questions and did my assignments. Lunch time tryed gathering my track team member to get ready and leave for the track meet at SOTA. it was a little cold, their were alot of people their, talked to some of the people i run against cracked some jokes and stuff. that day i ran the 2-mile for conditioning, that 2-mile was one of the hardest races i ran in my life even though i came dead last. people were passing me up over lapping me, but i didnt care at all i thought it was funny, when they were passing me up i was talking to them during the race. during the whole race i was smiling i dont kno why, probably because it was funny to me. That was my day on May 7, 2009.

what did you think of jane elliott’s classroom experiment? what did it reveal about favoritism(or, more specifically, prejudice?) did you see any drawbacks to the experiment? what were they?

i thought the experiment was brillint because it showed the kids in the 1960′s that other than being white and having everything nice and easy their whole lifes what about the other races compared to them, do they get treated the same as them. the kids thought Blacks, indians, mexicans, and asians, were stupid just because they werent the same colors as them so they thought if your not the same as me then your not as good as me. and the teachers experiment was to see how if they were seperated by eye colors like how blacks were by skin colors.

the favoritism was showing that if you had blue eyes that you will get everything you need and you will be treated with royalty. if you had brown eyes you were stupid and had all your prvitages taken away like blacks and seperated from the blue eyed people. the brown eyed kids didnt like it, they felt uneven and compared to the blue eyed kids. teacher giving them that feeling of how the black people feel compared to the white people.

My feelings about my test overall is nothing, i don’t have any feeling about my test.

i wasn’t surprised about my result because i didnt understand my results.

i feel like it was kind of accurate even though i made some mistakes.

the test didnt change a thing.

the test didnt change my values, or beliefs about others

i dont mind taking another test it doesnt make a difference to me.

What did i think of Kiri Davis’s short film? how did i feel when the little kids chose the bad baby? what hidden pressure do you feel as a teenager in 2009? do you fight them or follow them?

i think that the film showed courage that african america men and women talk about the flaws of others and their selves. some were talking about how they knew people that would fill a bath tube of bleach and sit in it to see if their skin would be lighter than it was before, because their going off others say, that light skin people look a lot better than dark skin people. one of the ladies were saying that she knew someone that was putting on bleach cream all over here body and she also started put ting the bleach cream on her children to also get lighter because she didnt like the color of her childrewn skin.

it felt kind of ocward to see the little kids in the room being asked question with a black doll and a white doll sitting right in front of them. be asked which one is the good one and everyone of the childrewn that were asked said and pick up the white one. and they were asked which one was consitered the bad one and all the children picked up the black doll. then the last question had all of them looking stupid was which one looks like their selves and they all pick up the black doll.

The week before i went to spring break. i went to all my classes but on friday missed out on geometry did not feel it i was tired of my teacher. went to the library started on the spring break work, got that nice good head start. i went to track practice the whole week and was sore the whole week. i couldnt wait til spring, just needed to get away from the school and everyone else…

April 2, 2009, i went to school, get to all classes that day. Didnt get in trouble that day. I had a track meet this day. it was at the school. i tryed to get pumped up because it was a home meet. their arent that many. my legs were hurting the whole day tho. it was a cold windy day , kinda not the setting for running on bad conditions. coach made me run a 2 lap race, something im not use to but im going to try tho. i ran the 2 laps i was tired as heck, some guy cut me off during the race. i almost fell but didnt wanna look crazy, had to try and keep my balance. then coach made me run 1 lap after. came 1st, ran 6 seconds slower because of the wind and my legs were hurting. after that i ran half a lap. came in first, didnt try i was tired legs were hurting and it was cold. after all that i went home and fell straight to sleep. that was my day on April 2, 2009.
